Getting to Know Our Newest Members – Richard Harris From Corksport Mazda Performance

Today, we’d like to welcome Richard Harris, the President and co-founder of CorkSport Mazda Performance, to EO Portland. CorkSport is an internet business that designs and markets performance auto parts. Richard lives in Camas, WA with his wife Kelly and son Maxwell.



P2Where are you from originally?
I typically answer this question, Eugene, OR. That’s where I spent most of my formative years.

Do you have any personal goals for 2016?
Yes! My goals in 2016 are to create a trust for my family, meet some great new friends (one reason I joined EO), an take a two-week international vacation with my family.

If we were sitting here a year from today celebrating the great year that your company has had, what did you accomplish?
Our people would show clear personal and professional growth, our mission. Further, we would be hitting our KPI and I’d be a year closer to retirement!

If you could invite 3 people to your dinner party, who would you invite? (dead or alive)
Abraham Lincoln. Tony Robbins. Bertrand Russell.

Who is your role model and why?
No-one person. Most of my models come from books.

Describe your ideal day in Portland.
Powell’s for a few hours in the morning. Followed by a walk around downtown. In the afternoon, paddle boarding.

Tell us about an accomplishment that you consider to be the most significant in your career.
I worked full-time, went to school ½ time, and ran my business part time, for the better part of 10 years and survived!

What are you looking forward to most as a member of EO Portland?
Meeting people with a high level of awareness and shared experience. Helping business owners succeed.
