The Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO) is a global nonprofit community designed for small business owners to connect, learn, and grow together. Membership is exclusive and by invitation only. To qualify, entrepreneurs must be the founder, co-founder, or controlling shareholder of a company with annual gross revenue of $1 million+. (For founders whose businesses haven’t yet grown past $1 million, check out EO Ignitor and EO Accelerator!)

Test Drive the EO Experience
Test Drive is a short event that provides a mock Forum exercise to illustrate the value of EO to business owners like you. We also invite current EO Members to share personal experiences and business lessons with you in an honest, no-obligation Q&A, and we will explain the main benefits of membership.
There is no cost associated with attending if you are a qualified prospective member,
nor is there any obligation to join EO.

Application Process Overview
EO Portland accepts new members three times per year. The next application deadline will be in October 1, 2024 for a November 1 Start Date.
Review the qualifying criteria below.
Submit your interest through the form on this page or by writing our Chapter Administrator, Vanessa Lightner, at admin@eoportland.org. Attending Test Drive is encouraged before applying.
The application process includes a revenue verification form signed by your CPA, a third-party background check, essay questions, and a brief interview.
Accepted members begin with a formal Orientation, including a chance to meet fellow members in a casual social setting.
EO MEMBERSHIP QUALIFYING CRITERIA
Members of EO must be the owner, founder, or controlling shareholder/co-founder of their business
Their business must be earning a minimum of $1 million in annual gross revenues (Not there yet? Check out EO Accelerator and EO Ignitor!)
Venture-backed companies must have either privately-raised funds of at least $2 million or publicly-raised funds of $5 million, and a minimum of 10 full-time employees
Nonprofit companies must have an annual operating budget of more than $1 million (funding sources may include dues, sales, grants, and private donations) and at least 2 full-time employees
