Meet EO Ignitor
Gaila Lusby, Founder of Momma G's Soup
>What makes your business unique?
We make every effort to make sure everyone leaves feeling like their day was better than before they arrived. We make connections with the people that choose to visit us. Everything is made with love and appreciation for the food...ingredients and origins of the dishes. We also create dishes for most every dietary need and none of it lacks in flavor or texture of the comfort food you expect from home.
>What's on the horizon for you?
First, a family sabbatical! Then, we've planned an expansion in every division of the company. As soon as we return from travel, we are beginning a move to a second location, a new espresso diner opening inside a local medical clinic. Momma G's is also expanding to more catering for the rest of the year and exponential growth in that department in 2025. Momma G's is also launching new products in our wholesale division and upon return we will be finalizing all custom packaging for those products. It is a very exciting time.
>What's a critical mistake you made that was a major learning moment?
I had a chance to attend college upon graduation from high school. I chose to take a gap year because I had already accomplished more schooling than anyone else in our family history. I feel that was a huge mistake. Life has a way of choosing for you if you don't follow your plan. I never made it back for my degree till I was in my late 30's. Take opportunities that present themselves as they happen. I feel it was selfish and reckless to not take that chance when I had it.
>What's your favorite EO moment?
I have not been a part of EO very long, but so far, the celebration of goals being met, and the amazing reciprocal support of the team is melting my heart. Also, we participated in a study led by [EO Ignitor] Chad Seegmiller that blew my mind. He is an amazing and insightful teacher and team builder.
