EO MEMBER BENEFITs

We’re happy to offer the following analyses to EO Members at no cost.

  1. Pre-exit analysis: Founders often struggle with the question “How much is enough?” when it comes to determining the value their company will need to sell for their desired post-exit lifestyle. Using a robust software planning program we use stochastic analysis to inform the decision to sell at a given valuation. The same tool can also be used to determine if taking on additional debt or equity financing makes sense.

  2. Retirement plan review: Working closely with the Institutional Fiduciary Services group at Raymond James, we can identify the degree of fiduciary liability you have with your current plan structure and provide alternatives to reduce your exposure. We can also analyze your investment costs and available investment choices, both of which are also important elements to mitigating your fiduciary risk.

  3. Personal and business financial risk analysis: Using decades of experience advising founders, the resources of Raymond James and our own training as Certified Exit Planning Advisors, we can help you identify areas of exposure you may not be aware of. These can include risks related to business structure, fiduciary liability, key person issues, as well determining appropriate strategies to transfer risk to insurance companies.

Meet jason saunders, vice president, investments

Jason takes a lead role working with the team’s founder/entrepreneur clients, and is SKA’s primary liaison with Raymond James Investment Banking and Raymond James Institutional Consulting Services Group.

When not at SKA’s Pearl District office, you can usually find him at Cafe Umbria, hosting small get-togethers on his and Stephanie’s Pearl balcony, and a few times a year wandering the streets of Palermo Hollywood in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Jason began his wealth management career in 1996 and worked at A.G. Edwards and Morgan Stanley before founding SKA Wealth Strategies of Raymond James in 2013. He received his BA from the University of Oregon, where he majored in something entirely unrelated to finance.

Jason is committed to the community and has served on the boards of the Pacific NW College of Art, the Museum of Contemporary Craft and is an active volunteer and mentor at New Avenues for Youth.

His colleagues will tell you that Jason enjoys drawing workflows and diagrams on big whiteboards, and he gets quite excited when doing it. While they think it’s a little quirky, they rarely make fun of him for it.

Meet jeri richard, financial advisor, investment management consultant

Jeri coordinates the team’s marketing strategy and business development efforts within the entrepreneurial community. Like Stephanie, she’s particularly committed to empowering women founders and enjoys elevating other women through mentoring and volunteering within the community.

Jeri began her wealth management career in 2014 when she joined SKA Wealth. For eight years prior to joining SKA Wealth, Jeri held an executive management role within a Fortune 500 company.

When not working for the founder community, you can find Jeri on a trail somewhere in the Columbia River Gorge or prepping for her next summit attempt. She and her fiancé, Jared, are Portland natives who always have travel on the agenda when they’ve got time to get away, with favorite destinations including New Orleans and wherever their favorite band happens to be touring.
